The Stephenson Suite, located on the ground floor of the hotel, is named after Robert Stephenson, the greatest engineer of the 19th Century. The suite is built in a dodecahedron shape, a truly unique design and boasts a wireless state of the art lighting system. It has a private pre-function reception space with bar and cloakroom facilities and access from the hotel reception and Gin Bar. Accommodating up to 500 guests, the suite offers flexible space for large conferences, exhibitions or gala dinners

The Locomotion Suite is a flexible space that can be used as 1 large space or as 3 separate areas. Locomotion No.1, built by Stephenson in 1825, was the first steam locomotive to carry passengers on a public rail line. This suite has fantastic views over Newcastle’s Central Station. It is located on our 1st floor Conference level. With floor to ceiling windows and air-conditioning the room is light and airy, designed to keep your delegates alert throughout the day. The Locomotion Suite can accommodate a maximum capacity of 150 Theatre Stylee and is equipped with a plasma screen with Genfen wireless extenders that will allow you to stream content directly from your device.

Our Northumbrian Suite, located on the first floor, is named after the locomotive used at the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, built in 1830. The Rocket Suite, is proudly named after the 1829 locomotive that Stephenson built here, on the Forth Street Works. The Rocket is the most famous example of evolving locomotive. Located on the first floor, the suite has views over the original works building. Invicta, our Executive Boardroom, has fantastic views over Stephenson Quarter. Named after the twentieth locomotive to be built by Robert Stephenson in 1829, the suite located on the first floor, has an exclusive designated breakout space as well as direct access to Hawthorns via a spiral staircase. Accommodating up to 50 Theatre Style, Invicta is the perfect suite for a formal conference or private dining.

The Planet Suite, on the first floor, is named after the 9th locomotive built in 1830 by Stephenson, the first of its kind to employ inside cylinders. With floor to ceiling windows and air-conditioning the room is light and airy, designed to keep your delegates alert throughout the day. The Planet Suite can accommodate a maximum capacity of 50 Theatre style and is equipped with a plasma screen with Genfen wireless extenders that will allow you to stream content directly from your device.

The Victory Suite is located on our 1st floor Conference level. The Victory Suite can accommodate a maximum capacity of 12 Boardroom style and is equipped with a plasma screen.
