One Great George Street is a central London conference centre, event and wedding venue in Westminster. Set in a magnificent Grade II listed, four-domed, Edwardian building the conference centre is very close to the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and St James’s Park. All the 21 function rooms offer flexible space for a range of events. The venue is able to host a maximum of up to 400 guests for a reception or 240 for an event in one of its individual meeting spaces. You can also hire the building for exclusive use. The event spaces can be linked with sound and vision to connect delegates around the building attending the same event. Therefore increasing its normal 400 capacity in an innovative way. One Great George Street is the perfect venue for conferences and corporate events, meetings, private and fine dining, gala dinners, press conferences, lectures and seminars (two theatres with tiered seating), wedding Venue for ceremonies and receptions, fashion shows, exhibitions – small and medium and as a filming location for feature films or television series.

Great Hall - 400

On the first floor of this Westminster venue is the most impressive and largest function space within the building. The Great Hall a conference room of over 370 square meters and over 13 meters in height is adorned with marbled columned walls, ornate gold leaf and embellished plaster. An oak floor complements a stunning painted ceiling and two large crystal chandeliers at either end of the event room. There are seven floor-to-ceiling windows along the West wall letting in a lot of natural daylight and allowing for passers-by to gaze up and marvel at the magnificent ceiling and chandeliers.

Telford Theatre

Telford Theatre - 240

The Telford Theatre, on the first floor of this Westminster venue, is a fabulous purpose-built conference and lecture space with fixed racked seating able to accommodate up to 240 people. At the front is an ornate stage of dark wood panels which also surround the room. The stage has a speaker’s lectern to one side and a top table for up to seven people. The lectern and top table each have in-built monitors and microphones.

Located on the lower ground floor of this exceptional Westminster event venue is our second purpose-built, tiered lecture theatre, the Godfrey Mitchell Theatre. The theatre is fully equipped with state-of-the art presentation technology. There is fixed raked seating for up to 106 people including fully-accessible facilities and a front and rear entrance. At the front is a speaker’s lectern and top table for up to five people; each with fixed microphones. These pieces of furniture can be removed if the occasion demands a different set up. The space is very minimalist and modern in style with soft blue and white; additional lighting can be incorporated to create a theme to your event.

The event space, although slightly smaller than some, has high ceilings and large windows along the west wall allowing in lots of natural daylight. The walls are partially covered with rich, dark-oak panelling and the ceilings are adorned with beautifully-embellished plaster and lit by a large chandelier. There is a grand fireplace on the South wall framed by a splendid dark wood mantel piece, above which hangs the portrait of Isambard Kingdom Brunel one of the Institution’s most noted past presidents.
