In the past, towns had what was fondly called "Town Halls." You might not find these today. If you do, they would be more of historic locations than actual venues for events.

Today, most of these town halls have been replaced by "Civic Centres" which can be found in different localities. These centres also serve different purposes.

To say that the average civic centre is a multipurpose events place is understating the fact. Civic centres have been known to host wedding receptions, birthday parties, seminars/lectures, training sessions, annual general meetings and any event you can possibly think of.

The fact that the above mentioned events are easily hosted in a modern day civic centre says a lot about the quality of these centres. A lot of these centres now boast of state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities, conveniences, parking spaces and much more.
In many cases, they are also easy to locate as many of them are located around city centres. Even if they are not, they still can be easily located.

Many also have multiple venues such that different events can be going on simultaneously without one disturbing the other. There is no doubt that most of your venue needs can be fulfilled if you can only locate any modern civic centres in your locality.
